On invariants for the adjoint action of an unipotent group
Abstract
In this paper invariants for the adjoint action of the unitriangular group in the nilradical of a parabolic subalgebra is studied. Consider the adjoint action of the unipotent subgroup U in a parabolic group P, where P = L ⋉ U is the Levi decomposition, on the nilradical of the corresponding parabolic subalgebra. In particular, we give representatives of orbits in the general position for the action of the unipotent subgroup U, and we show an algebraically independent generators of the field of invariants for the action.
