Abstract

Soil policy has been addressed in several articles, but only at the textual level and without integrating the two key aspects: soil threats and soil security.Soil threats have been a topic of discussion, leading to the concept of soil security.Soil security is important, as many authors have recommended framing a soil policy to protect soils, with special reference to threats arising from global warming. The present article aims to frame a soil policy model using the concepts of 4Es (exploration, education, extension, and empowerment) and 7Cs (capacity, connectivity, communication, condition, capital, codification, and care) respectively.
