Local Election Survey 2023

Statistics Norway conducted the Local Election Survey in the fall of 2023, commissioned by the Institute for Social Research (ISF), which was responsible for designing the questionnaire. The survey provides valuable insights into the role of eligible voters in Norwegian democracy, with a particular focus on various forms of political participation. Special attention was given to municipal mergers and their impact on political behavior and attitudes. The primary objective of the survey was to examine voter turnout and explore political behavior and attitudes.
