Abstract

These datasets were used for the psychometric evaluation of a fidelity tool designed to assess adherence to the UPSIDES peer support intervention. Derived from the Using Peer Support In Developing Empowering Mental Health Services (UPSIDES) study, these datasets offer insights into the validation of the fidelity scale and its psychometric properties. The datasets comprise data collected from six study sites across five countries, involving peer support workers and their clients. This data includes ratings of fidelity to the peer support intervention, collected at four and eight months after initial contact. The data was used for psychometric analysis, including assessments of internal consistency, construct validity, and criterion validity of the fidelity scale. It provides insights into the reliability and validity of the scale across different contexts and populations. To ensure that no personal data (or data that could be used to draw conclusions about the identity of individual study participants) is published, the open access dataset was restricted to key variables relevant to the psychometric evaluation, while all items of the sociodemographic questionnaires were excluded. The data will be available in the repository OPARU following an embargo until 31/12/2025, to allow for prioritised generation of research findings by members the UPSIDES consortium.
