Abstract

The notion of Anthropocene compel us to question the possibilities of promoting, in the field of education, real changes in the ways we inhabit the planet and relate to ourselves, other beings, and the world. In light of this question, this article focuses on the Etievan Model, a broad educational perspective aimed at uniting mind, body, and emotion in favour of a harmonious development of the human being. In a study conducted in accordance with the theoretical and methodological references of biographical research in education, biographical interviews and workshops were carried out, in which educators and learners recounted their experiences with this comprehensive education. The transcreated narratives were interpreted from a hermeneutic perspective using the key concept of normosis. This reveals a rich repertoire of practical insights into how to educate the dimensions of being and knowing, in a more balanced way. By sharing experiential and sensitive learning itineraries through the cultivation of the love of effort and the development of attention, the narratives reveal an approach according to which the act of education is a community effort that involves intense work on oneself.
