Desempenho produtivo e qualidade pós-colheita de morangos numa recente região de cultivo no Brasil, Curitibanos, SC
Abstract
The objective was to characterize strawberry production and postharvest quality on two properties in Curitibanos, Santa Catarina. At Casa França, a semi-hydroponic system with conventional cultivation was adopted, using the following treatments: San Andreas cultivars from Chile (2020 seedlings) and Spain (2022 seedlings), with fruit harvesting points performed at the beginning, middle, and end of the cultivation in the cultivation gutters. At Sítio Orgânico, the cultivation was organic, using the Alpina10 and Pircinque cultivars as treatments, grown in semi-hydroponic systems and in a greenhouse in the soil. Production analyses covered the period from October 2022 to February 2023 and quality analyses were conducted in November 2022. At Casa França, San Andreas showed higher production in the central plots, with the Spanish cultivar outperforming the Chilean cultivar, although quality was similar. At Sítio Orgânico, Alpina10 excelled in semi-hydroponic production, and Pircinque in soil cultivation. In terms of quality, Pircinque outperformed Alpina10 in both systems.
