Punktowanie nieobecności. O książce „Nie ma” Mariusza Szczygła
Abstract
The article is an analysis of a collection of Mariusz Szygieł’s journalistic writings entitled Nie ma (Not There) from the perspective of the cooperation between the contents and the theme of the book and its editorial form and texture. The author describes “typographical figures” (a term formed through analogy to rhetorical figures) utilised by the reporter and editors. It also offers a new perception of the way in which the lines of modern printed prose are shaped by applying the typology of versification systems. Simultaneously, the article considers the influence of the literature of fact on such phenomena as genre and stylistic hybridity of modern prose, the use of lines as a form of expression, and the use of digital technologies in artistic editing of printed works.
