Abstract

Drawing inspiration from Charles Burney’s description of Naples as a vibrant musical city, the review explores the Laboratory of Sound and Painting Differently (LOSPD), developed by the Scuola Superiore Meridionale within the PROBEN APPbenessere project in the academic year 2024-2025. Led by visual artist Veronica Bisesti and musician Bernardo Maria Sannino, the Laboratory engaged students in weekly sessions that integrated gesture, sound, and painting. The artistic, educational, and social outcomes of the Laboratory demonstrate how interdisciplinary and multimodal practices contribute to well-being in an academic context, extending their impact beyond the university to the local territory and community.
