Abstract

The article is devoted to the issues of improving the safety of freight cars during loading and unloading operations using the vibration method. The causes of damage to the cars, such as malfunctions of the machines and mechanisms used; violations of the rules of operations, are considered. The necessity of standardization of methods and technological processes ensuring the safety of cars, especially when using vibration loaders, is shown. It is proposed to include in the edition of GOST 22235 a definition of the term «safety of cars», which will establish criteria for assessing the technical condition of cars and improve the quality of regulatory and technical documentation. It is noted that it is necessary to bring (adjust) the requirements of GOST to the conditions of work at the present stage. It is shown that one of the directions for ensuring the safety of cars is the direct control of the unloading process using automated vibration unloading control systems, which will accurately meet the requirements of the standard. Special attention is paid to assessing the influence of the design features of modern cars on the choice of optimal parameters of vibration devices used during unloading and cleaning of cargo residues. The importance of deve-loping an integrated approach to solving the problem is em-phasized, providing for the scientific justification of technical regulations, the introduction of innovative solutions and the development of information infrastructure aimed at monitoring and managing the quality of transport services.
