Abstract

In this paper, we develop and articulate the concepts oflalangue and sinthome from Jacques Lacan’s teaching. In the first part, we expose our understanding of the concept of lalangue justifying the use of this translation, used by Haroldo de Campos, to maintain its relationship with lalation and musicality that is beyond meaning andsignificance accentuating their essence of enjoyment and materiality sound. We show it with some examples of James Joyce work. In the second, part we developed the concept of letter, as it is deposited in lalangue, and which is the sinthome as tying the three registers, real, symbolic and imaginary in the topology of the nodes Borromean. Thisis the jouissance of the fixing letter as sinthome as the way each one enjoys his unconscious allowing himself to have sexual partnerships.
