Abstract

Understand the significance of the ideation phase within the design thinking process and its role in generating innovative solutions to complex health care challenges. Explore a range of ideation strategies, including brainstorming, reframing, and the SCAMPER (Substitutions; Combinations; Adaptations; Modifications; Put to other uses; Eliminations; Rearrangements/reversals) approach, to stimulate creativity and divergent thinking. Apply ideation techniques to real-world pharmacy scenarios, such as improving medication adherence, redesigning care processes, and enhancing the patient experience. Recognize the importance of collaboration, empathy, and iterative prototyping in developing human-centered solutions that address the needs of patients, pharmacists, and other collaborators.
