A Study on AI and FinTech Innovations for Advancing Financial Inclusion
Abstract
Financial inclusion remains a global challenge, with billions of individuals lacking access to formal financial services. Recent advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Financial Technology (FinTech) present transformative opportunities to bridge this gap. This paper examines how AI-driven FinTech innovations-such as alternative credit scoring, mobile payments, digital lending, biometric identification, and personalized financial education- are reshaping access to finance for underserved populations. It also evaluates the challenges related to data privacy, algorithmic bias, and digital infrastructure. The study concludes that while AI-enabled FinTech has significant potential to accelerate inclusive growth, responsible implementation and regulatory oversight are essential to ensure equitable outcomes.
