Abstract

Accurate simulation of mobility systems is critical for understanding complex traffic dynamics and assessing new transportation technologies under realistic conditions. Realistic scenario development faces challenges in data integration, interoperability, and robust calibration. Real-Twin is a unified, simulation platform-agnostic scenario generation tool designed to streamline and standardize the evaluation of emerging mobility technologies. It provides an end-to-end framework that includes workflows, integrated tools, and comprehensive metrics to generate, calibrate, and benchmark microscopic traffic simulation scenarios across multiple platforms. Real-Twin enables researchers and practitioners to rapidly develop, validate, and compare complex traffic scenarios, accelerating innovation and facilitating objective assessments across diverse simulation environments.
