Sustainability marketing: AI tools for green business practices
Abstract
Sustainability marketing has emerged as a crucial strategy for modern businesses aiming to balance profitability with environmental and social responsibility. With increasing global concerns about climate change, pollution, and resource depletion, organizations are adopting sustainable practices to meet consumer expectations and regulatory requirements. At the same time, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming traditional marketing by enabling automation, datadriven insights, and personalized customer experiences. This research paper examines how AI tools are integrated into sustainability marketing to enhance green business practices. It explores key AI technologies such as predictive analytics, machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI, and their role in promoting eco-friendly products and services. The study also discusses the benefits, including cost efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and improved customer engagement, along with challenges like greenwashing, data privacy, and high implementation costs. The paper adopts a conceptual and literature-based approach to analyze existing research and industry practices. It concludes that AI has significant potential to support sustainable development goals when implemented responsibly and ethically.
