Navigating the Artificial Intelligence Wave at the Advocate's Desk: The Absence of an Accountability Standard in the Global Legal Map and Indonesia's Silence
Abstract
<div> The wave of artificial intelligence has reached the advocate's desk faster than anyone's capacity to grasp its limits. This paper maps how the legal world across jurisdictions has answered the dangers that accompany it — in particular the hallucinations that slip into court filings — and locates Indonesia within that map. </div> <div> <br> </div> <div> Through inquiry verified against primary sources, this paper finds that across the documented map, no jurisdiction has yet issued a standard of accountability for the use of artificial intelligence by advocates that is at once free-standing, binding, and specific to the profession. The world has answered with opinions that interpret, guidance that recommends, and rules that interweave — but not yet with a standard that enforces. Indonesia occupies the quietest position: zero recorded cases, not because it is safe, but because no one has examined. This paper is a diagnosis that points a direction, and an elaboration of a thesis the author has formulated in a separate work. </div>
