Coxeter quotients of the automorphism group of a Coxeter group
Abstract
We show that for a large class W of infinite Coxeter groups the following holds: Given a group W in W, the automorphism group Aut.W / virtually surjects onto some infinite Coxeter group.In particular, the group Aut.W / does not have Kazhdan's property .T/.Moreover, we show that Aut.W / is amenable if and only if W is virtually abelian.
