O (A)BORDAR DA PERSPECTIVA BAUMANIANA PELAS MÃOS DA EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL CRÍTICA NA FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES DE QUÍMICA
Abstract
APPROACHING FROM THE BAUMANIAN PERSPECTIVE BY THE HANDS OF CRITICAL ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN THE TRAINING OF CHEMISTRY TEACHERS. In this study, we sought to investigate how and in what ways a proposal based on Bauman’s perspective and the theoretical contribution of Critical Environmental Education (CEE) can influence the environmental training process of chemistry teachers. The proposal was developed within the scope of an Environmental Chemistry course and involved the participation of 17 students in initial training. During the classes, existential and political issues affecting society and the environment in times of liquid modernity were discussed, integrating, to a certain extent, chemical concepts and processes into the analysis of real situations. A questionnaire and an activity comprised the data for this study, which were submitted to discursive textual analysis. Among the influences of the approach, we highlight the potential to sensitize and involve students in debates about the environmental agenda. The proposal provided guidelines, that is, elements for students to recognize problematic situations that affect not only the environment but also individuals and the community in different ways. The approach contributed to critical environmental education, such as indignation and insight into political and economic injunctions in the current socio-environmental context, also revealing the multifaceted nature of the environmental dimension.
