Abstract

Some types of plants produce chlorogenic acid (CGA), a significant nutritional polyphenol with the biological activity. Recent clinical research had documented a decrease in risk of several disorders after CGA intake. Chlorogenic acid (CGA) possesses medical advantages, involving its anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, obesity-fighting properties and renal protection benefits. In vivo research on CGA pharmacological as well as biochemical influences is covered in the following review article.
