Abstract

The following paper aims to analyse and re-evaluate the naophorous statue holding the inventory number: TR 27.11.58.8 at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, preserved in storeroom D57, and came from Sais. The owner of the statue is a man called WAH-ib-Ra-mn. The headless statue represents a kneeling man bearing a Naos with two hands containing a figure of the god Osiris. This paper tackles the description of the statue's story, compares its artistic elements to other similarities, and translates the hieroglyphic inscriptions and philological comments on them.
