Abstract

Excavations in the New Kingdom tomb of the general of the armyIwrkhy in Saqqara revealed a displaced round-topped stela. The well-preserved large limestone stela dedicated to Re-Horakhty and Maat daughter of Re is missing its lower part. The inscriptions on the stela confirm previous assumptions about the genealogy of Iwrkhy. The lower part of a stela still in situ in the tomb can help reconstruct the missing lower part of the stela.
