This research highlights the profound importance of the "condition of knowledge" (Shart al-Ilm) concerning the word of Tawhid, "La ilaha illa Allah" (There is no god but Allah), as a fundamental pillar for the soundness of faith and the completeness of Islam. It relies on the statements of the Imams of the Najdi Da'wah (Salafi movement). The study clarifies that mere verbal utterance of this testimony is insufficient; rather, it must be based on certain knowledge of its meaning and implications, which is considered among the most obligatory duties. Ignorance of this meaning leads to polytheism (Shirk) and corrupts one's religion, and it is not considered an excuse in matters universally known to be part of the religion (al-ma'lum min al-din bi al-darurah). This correct knowledge must be accompanied by action in accordance with its requirements and a disavowal of everything that contradicts pure Tawhid. The research concludes that "knowledge" of the word of Tawhid serves as a safety valve for sound creed. It recommends intensifying programs for teaching correct Islamic creed, fostering awareness of the individual's responsibility to seek knowledge, and issuing strong warnings against leniency regarding matters of major Shirk.
