التفاعل مع التقنيات الرقمية في العروض المتحفية: متحف الفن المصري الحديث دراسة حالة
Abstract
This Study aims to understand the philosophy of interaction with digital technologies in museum display, from wireless communication to immersive interaction, and to develop a plan for enhancing museum exhibitions through specific digital tools that support the interpretation and promotion of Modern Egyptian Art. Digital technologies are now essential to museum operations. Digital interaction, defined as the use of digital tools and platforms for communication with visitors both on-site and online, plays a crucial role in enhancing the visitor experience. However, its current application is often experimental and unsystematic, which limits its effectiveness. This issue is further complicated by challenges such as limited funding, lack of technical expertise, and varying levels of public acceptance of modern media. Accordingly, the study poses a main question: to what extent can a clear philosophy for digital interaction be established to develop the museum display at the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art, while taking into account audience characteristics, institutional capabilities, and existing challenges? The research also aims to address the challenges facing Egyptian museums—such as funding, expertise and audience adaptation—based on surveys conducted with museum employees in Egypt, and to analyze levels of interaction in order to select the most suitable technologies that ensure an effective and engaging visitor experience.
