Abstract

Purpose: To find out the correlation between vitamin D levels and functional limitation in chronic nonspecific low back pain (CNSLBP) patients. Methods: A correlation study was conducted with 52 patients aged 25-45 years diagnosed with CNSLBP.Functional limitation was measured with the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), and serum vitamin D levels via 25-Hydroxyvitamin D testing. After evaluating the normality of the data Pearson test was applied to find out the correlation between these variables.Data were analysed by using SPSS 25 Results: The mean age of the CNSLBP patients was 32.17±1.085years.BMI was 23.46±0.884(kg/m 2 ) study showed that there was a significant association (p=0.004)and moderate positive correlation (r=0.365) between vitamin D and functional limitation in adults with CNSLBP.Conclusion: The study showed there was a significant association between vitamin D level and functional limitation among adults with CNSLBP.
