Impact of Emergency Department Crowding on Delays in Initiating Oxygen Therapy for Hypoxemic Patients
Abstract
Purpose: This study aims to evaluate and compare ovarian blood flow indices between women and women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) using Doppler ultrasonography. Methods: A cross-sectional comparative study was conducted with 120 participants, consisting of 60 fertile women and 60 women diagnosed with PCOS.Ovarian stromal blood flow was measured using Doppler ultrasonography, assessing pulsatility index (PI), resistance index (RI), vascularization index (VI), flow index (FI), and vascularization flow index (VFI).Antral follicle count (AFC) and ovarian volume were also recorded. Results: Women with PCOS exhibited larger ovarian volumes (11.99 ± 2.80 mL) and higher AFC (36.50 ± 5.64) compared to the control group.Blood flow indices (VI, FI, VFI, PI, and RI) were significantly higher in the PCOS group (p
