Abstract

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder affecting millions worldwide, posing significant therapeutic challenges due to its complex pathophysiology and diverse clinical manifestations. Conventional treatment options often yield suboptimal results and are associated with adverse effects, highlighting the need for innovative therapeutic strategies. Polymeric nanoparticles [PNPs] have emerged as a promising approach, offering enhanced drug bioavailability, sustained release, and reduced systemic toxicity. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the application of PNPs in psoriasis management, emphasizing their advantages over conventional therapies. By addressing the limitations of existing treatments, PNPs offer a viable strategy for enhancing therapeutic outcomes and improving patient care in psoriasis management.
