Abstract

Abstract. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2 are considered critical frameworks for optimizing digital assets under the terotechnology paradigm, managing the development and design lifecycle on the web. This paper examines the role of WCAG standards as a structured framework for coordinating the entire lifecycle of web-based digital assets, encompassing everything from conception to maintenance. The benefits and challenges of WCAG-based optimization are examined through existing implementation practices, evaluation approaches, and new technologies. The results show that although WCAG compliance increases inclusivity, usability, and legal compliance, the complexity of the assessment, technical implementation, and continuing maintenance needs remain significant hurdles.
