Abstract

Introduction: When some body cells develop out of control and spread to other places of the body, it's called cancer. In 2023, an estimated 238,340 people (117,550 men and 120,790 women) were diagnosed with lung cancer, and 127,070 people died from the disease. We can correlate Cancer with Arbuda due to their resemblance in the signs and symptoms. An Ayurvedic herbo-mineral preparation based on Mercury, Rasa Sindoor is extensively utilized for the treatment of many ailments. When compared to other treatments, Kupipakwa Rasayana is superior in its ability to alleviate a wide variety of chronic, complex diseases. Hence, we have decided to do In-vitro study on A549 cell line of lung Cancer. Aim and objectives: To evaluate Anti-cancer activity of Shadgunabalijarita Rasa Sindoor using A549 cell line with special reference to lung cancer. Materials and Methods: Shadgunabalijarita Rasa Sindoor will be prepared as mentioned in classical text ‘Rasa Tarangini’. The prepared formulation will be assessed with organoleptic characters and physicochemical parameters. The Experimental study will be carried out according to the OECD guidelines. Result: Drug standardization will be done using Ayurvedic and modern parameters. Experimental study will be conducted and analysed accordingly. Conclusion: This in vitro study will be conducted to evaluate Anticancer activity of Shadgunabalijarita Rasa Sindoor using A549 cell line model. The expected outcome of this study may provide scientific evidence for the action of Shadgunabalijarita Rasa Sindoor in lung cancer cell line.
