THE REPRESENTATION OF MODERN TECHNOLOGIES IN THE TEACHING OF MUSIC CULTURE
Abstract
The paper discusses the representation of modern technologies in teaching music culture. The goal is to determine the extent to which modern technologies are used in the teaching of music culture in the territory of northern Kosovo and Metohija. The research objectives are to determine: which digital devices students own, devices they use most frequently, and for what purposes; to what extent do students use digital devices for learning or reviewing material from various subjects, including music culture; and what students’ opinions are regarding the need for greater use of modern technologies to a greater extent, as well as the usefulness of their application in teaching music culture. Analytical and descriptive methods were applied in the research. The sample consisted of 206 eighth-grade students from the territory of northern Kosovo and Metohija. It was concluded that in elementary schools in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, modern technologies are not sufficiently represented in the teaching of music culture. This work highlights the significance and importance of using modern technologies in teaching music culture. The use of these technologies should contribute to more varied classroom content, stimulate students’ interest and motivation for musical art, promote student independence in acquiring knowledge and skills, and modernize the teaching process.
