Abstract

This paper explores the application of polyphonic principles in the vocal-instrumental works of Rajko Maksimović – Buna protiv dahija, Testamenat and Pasija svetoga kneza Lazara. The analytical approach focuses on the organization of musical material, the articulation of musical thought within the notational framework, and the coordinated structuring of musical flow, ehasizing the presence and function of polyphonic thinking. The study employs terminology established by music theorists whose textbooks on Harmony and Polyphony (Counterpoint) continue to serve as fundamental references in the study of theoretical disciplines.
