Abstract

In the present study, we report three new dietary records of the Neotropical Whipsnake (Masticophis mentovarius), highlighting an incident of cannibalism toward a juvenile animal. We obtained these records by analyzing the stomach contents of a snake roadkilled in an agricultural area. These findings expand our understanding of dietary plasticity in M. mentovarius, highlighting the potential impact of transformed environments.
