Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the impact of the Mexican governments of 2006, 2012, and 2018 on the female employed population in Mexico's agricultural sector. To achieve this, 36 structural analysis tests were conducted using dichotomous variables, and the equations were estimated both before and after the structural change. The results indicate that in 2013, a structural change occurred in the total employed population of Mexico's agricultural sector. Additionally, in 2013 and 2019, a structural change occurred in the male employed population of the agricultural sector. Finally, in 2007, 2013, and 2019, a structural change occurred in the female employed population of the agricultural sector, which showed an increase. It was concluded that the research objective was achieved, and although the employed female population in Mexico’s agricultural sector experienced structural changes in 2006, 2012, and 2018, these changes were not sufficient to cause a structural change in the total employed population of the agricultural sector.
