Abstract
Many owners now expect and are prepared to undertake more advanced diagnostic testing for their pet guinea pigs. Once a clinical examination has been performed, it is often necessary to carry out further investigations to make a definitive diagnosis and plan appropriate treatment. This chapter will equip the reader to perform haematology, biochemistry, thyroid and adrenal function testing, evaluation of urine and faecal samples, and cytology with confidence.
