Textile of tommorow: Harnessing advanced material for sustainable future
Abstract
Textiles are stationed to play a vital role in determining the future of functionality, sustainability and fashion. This is due to the reason that consumer desires change and technology has developed to support the said reform. The initial goal of textiles was to safeguard the users from cold and rain. However, afterwards, the cloths started to include inculcate aesthetic considerations as well. Very recently, he interactive and smart interactive textiles have brought a new generation of textile fabrics. This has led to a paradigm shift in the field of textiles, wherein the industry is incorporating the steps for meeting the moderns demands for ensuring sustainability and versality. These textiles have moved far ahead from the traditional fabrics, inculcating the aspects such as sustainable components, responsive material, smart sensors, and functional coatings. For instance, nanotechnology has been utilized to garments and fabrics with sustainable antibacterial, flame retardant and electrically conducive properties. A wide range of functions like energy harvesting, optics, on-body energy harnessing applications, etc. Overall, it can be inferred that modern and upcoming textiles places a high priority on sustainability, whereby focus is more on using sustainable things, invoking renewable energy concepts and ensuring responsible manufacturing methods for reduction in overall environmental impact. In this research paper, the researcher would highlight the textiles which seem to use advanced material in the field of textile industry for the purpose of assuring sustainability with a view to bring improvement in environment.
