Abstract

Alopecia areata is a chronic autoimmune disorder causing patchy hair loss, affecting around 2% of the population worldwide. It may present as single or multiple bald patches on the scalp and sometimes involves pustular eruptions. Conventional treatments often provide limited relief. This case study reports a 29-year-old female with multiple coin-sized patches on the vertex and temples, associated with daily hair fall and pustular eruptions. She had previously undergone allopathic and Ayurvedic treatments without satisfactory results. Under homeopathic management at Dr Batra’s, she was prescribed Natrum Muriaticum 200C constitutionally, Fluoric Acid 30C, and Thuja locally. Over 12 months, old patches showed significant hair regrowth, pustular lesions healed, and new patch formation was minimal. This case highlights the effectiveness of individualized homeopathic treatment at Dr Batra’s, combining constitutional remedies with specific local applications, leading to stabilization of hair fall, improved scalp health, and overall patient satisfaction.
