A Study on the Current Status of the Teaching Staff at Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sport (2020–2025)

Through document analysis and synthesis, expert interviews, and statistical methods, this study establishes a comprehensive overview of the current status of governance in developing the lecturer workforce at Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports (HCM UPES). Although the University has made certain efforts in human resource governance, the effectiveness of these efforts in promoting lecturers’ professional development and career motivation remains limited. Therefore, it can be affirmed that the development of the lecturer workforce at the University needs to be approached in a more systematic and integrated manner, with emphasis on improving governance mechanisms, strengthening two-way communication, and closely linking evaluation, remuneration, and career development.
