Abstract

This study examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the academic achievement of secondary school students through a systematic review of existing research. A comprehensive search of relevant academic sources was conducted, and after applying defined inclusion criteria, 20 empirical studies were finally selected for analysis. The findings indicate that AI-based educational tools, including adaptive learning systems, intelligent tutoring platforms, and AI-driven assessment technologies, have a positive effect on students’ academic performance, learning engagement, and personalized learning experiences. The review also highlights key challenges such as unequal access to technology, limited teacher preparedness, and ethical concerns related to AI implementation. The study concludes that while AI has significant potential to enhance academic achievement at the secondary level, its effective integration requires appropriate infrastructure, teacher training, and supportive educational policies.
