Abstract

This paper proposes logarithmic-type estimators for population mean under post-stratified sampling using auxiliary information. We have derived the bias and mean squared error (MSE) expressions up to the first-order approximation. We have obtained the conditions under which the suggested estimators are better than some existing estimators. Using empirical study with survey data, we found that proposed estimators are more efficient than the other existing estimators.
