El grano digital: Incorporación de texturas fotoquímicas durante la producción de imágenes digitales
Abstract
Amidst the second wave of celluloid resurgence as a visual medium, significant technological advancements in the manipulation and composition of digital images are paving the way for the recreation of textures that were previously exclusive to photochemical images. This article aims to analyze the origins and repercussions of the development of these technologies. The grain is positioned as more than a mere aesthetic element; it constitutes a fundamental aspect of the image’s very structure. Therefore, it must be duly considered when selecting an emulsion or even when opting for digital image supports. Certainly, the choice of a specific format is a decision that transcends expected aesthetic outcomes, as it tangibly influences how individuals engage with the image.
