Developing Islamic STEM-Based E-Pocket Book on Solar System Materials
Abstract
The limited availability of flexible, technology-based learning materials integrated with Islamic values remains a challenge in physics education. This study aimed to develop an Islamic STEM-Based Electronic Pocket Book on Solar System Materials and to determine its validity and practicality. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the Alessi and Trollip development model, which consists of three stages: planning, design, and development. The research instruments consisted of validation sheets for material experts, media experts, and Islamic interpretation experts, as well as a student practicality questionnaire. The validation results showed that the Electronic Pocket Book obtained scores of 96% from the material expert, 99% from the media expert, and 96% from the Islamic interpretation expert, with an overall average score of 97%, categorized as highly valid. The practicality test based on students' responses yielded a score of 88%, categorized as highly practical. The developed Electronic Pocket Book integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics concepts with Islamic values in the presentation of solar system materials. Therefore, the developed product is highly valid and practical for use as an alternative digital learning material to support flexible physics learning integrated with Islamic values.
