Patrimonialização da memória LGBTQIAPN+: sujeitos, redes e lutas interpretativas
Abstract
This article analyzes the process of politicization of the debate on LGBTQIAPN+ memory in the current Brazilian context. Starting from the understanding of heritage as a political action, we will seek to examine the constitution of an agenda of interests around the notion of LGBTQIAPN+ memory through which subjects, networks/webs and interpretative struggles have been articulated, responsible for producing new political grammars in both the field of heritage and LGBTQIAPN+ activism. As an unfolding of this process, the article also explores the process of emergence of an “LGBT museology” and an “LGBTQIA+ historiography”, both associated with the creation of LGBTQIAPN+ memory sites such as museums, collections and archives that have been formed by individual activists or collectives in recent years. The data for this research were produced through the mapping of some of these heritages and musealization initiatives promoted by these collectives, mainly through the creation of virtual museums and archives. The activities and discussions held in the context of the “LGBT Network of Memory and Social Museology”, the “National Network of LGBTQIA+ Historians”, and the “LGBTQIA+ Memory and Truth WG” were also important elements for this work. We thus seek to contribute to the debate on memory and its intersection with the complex field of the production of differences, in particular those related to gender and sexuality.
