Suplemento para quem?: um panorama do Suplemento Literário de Diretrizes
Abstract
October 1939, Diretrizes magazine (1938–1944) launched its literary supplement, a separate booklet from the regular edition, dedicated to the debate of cultural topics, with an emphasis on literature. In this article, we take a panoramic look at the content and group of contributors to the Diretrizes’ Literary Supplement and propose some reflections: what were the potential benefits acquired by the editor through this initiative? How does the organization of a supplement reflect the establishment of social networks with which the editor sought to engage? In short, we argue that the Supplement fostered a dynamic that offered opportunities and insights to the intellectuals involved in its production.
