The Mechanics of Transient Memory Encoding: Why Local Pressure Heterogeneity Matters
Abstract
Introduction: The Ghost in the Machine of Non-Equilibrium SystemsIn classical thermodynamics, we are taught to look at the "average." We look at average temperature, average volume, and average pressure. But the most interesting physics happens in the deviations from that average. As an independent researcher, I’ve become obsessed with a single question: Can a physical system "remember" its past without a permanent storage medium? The answer, I believe, lies in Transient Memory Encoding. This isn't just a theoretical curiosity; it is a fundamental look at how information is briefly "written" into the physical fabric of non-equilibrium systems through local pressure heterogeneity.
