A Rare Cause of Solitary Neonatal Wound:Clinical and Dermoscopic Features of Congenital Self‑Healing Reticulohistiocytosis
Abstract
In neonates presenting with a solitary ulcerated nodule, a dermoscopic pattern characterized by a structureless erythematous-yellow background with overlying silvery-white lamellar scales may suggest congenital self-healing reticulohistiocytosis (CSHRH).Dermoscopy is a valuable, non-invasive diagnostic tool that can help avoid biopsy in selected cases, although long-term follow-up remains essential.
