Abstract

Neuropathy is common in type 1 diabetes, but whether vitamin B12 levels contribute significantly to the complication remains unclear. Vitamin B12 deficiency occurs in 4,7% of the general Danish population (1), but studies investigating B12 deficiency in type 1 diabetes populations are few and inconsistent (2; 3). We aimed to examine whether serum B12 levels are associated with neuropathy in adults with type 1 diabetes.
