Abstract

The American Diabetes Association and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) have recommended that women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) get screened for diabetes, impaired fasting glucose, or impaired glucose tolerance 4–12 weeks after delivery (1; 2). The purpose of this study is to evaluate correlates and trends in postpartum glucose testing in a recent, population-based sample of U.S. women diagnosed with GDM.
