Abstract

This research presents a four-element printed inverted-F (IFA) MIMO antenna designed for multi-standard wireless applications, including sub-6 GHz 5G (3.6–4.1 GHz and 4.5–4.6 GHz) and Wi-Fi 6E (2.4–2.484 GHz, 5.15–5.35 GHz, 5.47–5.73 GHz, and 5.945–6.425 GHz). A wideband printed IFA previously proposed by the authors is used as the individual antenna element, and two types of decoupling elements are employed to improve isolation between the antenna elements. The effects of the decoupling elements on S-parameters are analyzed by simulation. The measured S-parameters and radiation characteristics demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed antenna.
