A Novel Digitally Coded Ultra-Wideband Antenna Optimized by SADEA-VI
Abstract
This paper presents the design of an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna optimized using the digitally coded antennaoriented surrogate-assisted differential evolution algorithm VI (SADEA-VI). The proposed antenna employs a digitally coded pixel structure as a parasitic structure integrated into a squarering slot configuration, enabling wideband impedance matching. Simulation and measurement results demonstrate that the antenna covers the 3.1-10.6 GHz UWB band with |S11|≤−10dB, achieves a maximum realized gain above 1 dBi. These results highlight the effectiveness of digital coding combined with surrogate-assisted optimization for broadband antenna design.
