Abstract

Direct current (DC) microgrids, increasingly recognized as critical components of modern power systems, require precise voltage regulation to ensure stability and efficiency. To this end, a delta-operator-based control method is proposed to handle internal uncertainties and external disturbances in a photovoltaic (PV) battery DC microgrid. Fast-sampling dynamics of power conversion devices in the microgrid are particularly compatible with the delta operator approach. Consequently, an extended state observer (ESO) and a sliding mode controller are developed in the delta domain to guarantee system stability and enhance disturbance rejection. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method in voltage regulation of the PV-battery DC microgrid under various uncertainties and disturbances.
