Abstract

This paper investigates the efficiency and safety performance of a wearable Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) system utilizing fractal metamaterials and antennas in three configurations: no metamaterial (NM), single-sided metamaterial (SS-MTM), and a novel double-sided metamaterial (DS-MTM). Key performance metrics include the transmission coefficient (S21) and the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). Electromagnetic simulations conducted in ANSYS HFSS show that the DS-MTM configuration offers improved transmission efficiency while maintaining acceptable SAR levels in human tissue models.
