Applications on power systems using HVDC-VSC technology
Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the Voltage Source Converter-High Voltage Direct Current (VSC-HVDC) technology in power systems since it was implemented experimentally in the late nineties to the present. The main features as well as the main applications are explained attending to current projects in operation. Additionally, a recopilation work has been made including two Annex. In the first one, all projects commissioned around the world have been summarised. The second Annex comprises multi-terminal projects in operation and planned during this decade.
